I was so Mucha excited to Czech this exhibition out!

On Wednesday I had the opportunity to go to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and museum, Glasgow. The main reason for this mid-week trip was to visit the new Exhibition "Alphonse Mucha: In Quest of Beauty."

 Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum.

Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum.

As a life long Mucha fan, I couldn't wait to see what was going to be on show. Mucha is most well known for his spectacular poster designs, and so so so many of them on show was truly amazing. Considering these posters were designed to be posted up all over the streets of Paris, most of them only served a short purpose and were either covered up by a new poster pasted straight on top or just torn down and disposed of. To see them hanging is all their glory was a sight to behold. Mucha's posters were art work for the masses, available to be seen by everyone instead of the privileged few.

If you ever have the chance to visit the exhibition, please do. You wont be disappointed. Don't worry there is plenty of time to visit it runs all the way through to the 19th February 2017.

This may have been my first visit to it, but i can assure you it will certainly not be my last! (I saw a few books and other objects i wish to purchase).
